Certificat de Presence de la Garde Royale d'Espagne
A Certificate of Service, dated 25 September 1809,
for Etienne COURTIAL as a member of the 1st
battalion of the Grenadiers of the Royal Spanish
Guard of Joseph-Napoleon, King of Spain. Most of
the Spanish Royal Guard had previously served under
Joseph, as his guard, while he was King of Naples.
On the left is a picture of an officer and grenadier in
the uniform of the Spanish Royal Guard.
