this paintings shows a member of the Corps Legislatif in 'bust' wearing a Legion d'honneur of the 4th type 1811-14. Their uniform consisted of a blue coat, embroidered with gold, blue silk cape with lining and cuffs of white silk embroidered with gold, blue breeches and white waistcoat embroidered with gold, white belt, trimmed with gold spirals; black felt hat with white feathers and a lace cravat.
