Report from Marshal Alexander Berthier to Napoleon
1813
A report dated Dresden 14 May 1813 from Marshal Berthier to Napoleon with details of cavalry depots in Germany, on which Napoleon has written five lines of text in is own hand, naming General of Division, Baron Margaron as commander of the cavalry deport in Hanua.
During the month of May Napoleon was to celebrate two victories, one at Lutzen on the 2nd and then again at Bautzen on the 20th but five months later he would suffer a crushing defeat at the Battle of Leipzig.
Below is a translation of Napoleon's five lines of text:

The general of brigade Margaron
to command the depot at
Hanua. I will name another
officer for the depot
at Weymar to Jena.
