Nocturnes pour Harp
Naderman
Circa 1815
30 x 23cm
This book, bearing Napoleon's Imperial arms, is made up of several 'Nocturnes' by the composer Joseph Naderman with dedications to the Empress Marie Louise. It would appear that after the fall of the empire this book was made utilising a book from Napoleon’s library. Naderman, who was then musical director to Louis XVIII, had all the Imperial emblems covered over but Napoleon's arms can now be seen again.
