The saucer with dark green under colouring and gold background, with garlands of flowers and central geometric pattern. The cup with garlands of spring flowers and geometric gold lattice work patterning. Both pieces are stamped with the red 'Sevrés Imperiale' mark for the year 1809.
In 1809 a dessert service of almost identical design was delivered for the palace of Compiegne and it is possible that this comes from a 'cabaret à café' that also formed part of that delivery.
